Indoor optical wireless link design
Kaňa, Leoš ; Tošovský, Petr (referee) ; Hudcová, Lucie (advisor)
In last years phenomena of wireless communication technologies became a primary interest of big development laboratories whole world. Domain of point to point links which are realized by laser technology with narrow beam divergence and very sensitive photo-detectors is ordinarily used these days. This trend of using light waves as carrier medium turned interests of scientist to the sphere of wide area networks which is domain of wi-fi radio technologies. One of new trends in this sphere is also in-door free space optics. With expansion which leads to using LED's in everyday applications and with technological progress of last years, also grows tendency of most effective utilization of LED systems. The result of this effort is thought which considerate LED as source of artificial lighting and source of carrier medium for modulated signal. This kind of device must fulfill hygienic standards for illumination and also must be able to work with high frequency by which is signal modulated. These systems can provide links with sufficient capacity in order of hundred megabits.
Optimization of Wireless Networks against Attacks
Řezníček, Martin ; Pust, Radim (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The work describes the design of wireless networks and the problems relating to this technology. In the theoretical part it deals with the learning network, the security technology and design wireless network. In the practical part it describes the simulation and measure of the signal strength. The ensuring of the safety by aid WPA as well as Radius authentication, TKIP data encryption, and the possibility of breaking into the network. The following chapters deal with the connection of the users to the network (domain) and with the application of VOIP telephony on the network. The last part describes the extension of the network and the associated problems.
RF-controlled model car
Hradiský, Marek ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is design and practica lrealization of remote- controlled car by the computer. This thesis describes concept of the system selection and description of the components. The practical part contains software implementation for computer also for microcontroller and the concept of printed circuit board for the controller.
Wireless connections for metropolitan networks
Svoboda, Jan ; Tejkal, Vladimír (referee) ; Šporik, Jan (advisor)
This Master’s thesis analizes technologies suitable for metropolitan area networks. In this thesis there are mentioned technologies used for wireless transfer with speeds above 1 Gbps. There are described basic features and parameters of microwave radio relay links in 70/80GHz range and free space optic links. These technologies are compared with classic optical networks. Practical part of thesis was focused on development of application which calculates signal attenuation caused by the passage of the atmosphere for both technologies. Results gained from this application are mentioned in this Master’s thesis.
Realization of the electronic locks control board
Bubák, Martin ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Čožík, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with design of a control for electrical lock using the RFID technology. In the first part of this project is stated a description of the function of the RFID technology. There are described advantages of the RFID and also its classification. Further, will be described various types of electrical locks which can be used. The second part of the project is describing design of RFID electronics. There is stated specification of control microcontroller and its wiring with the RFID reading part and also with the switching part of the electrical lock. In this part is also listed description of design of circuit boards for control appliance and for RFID module. The last part of the project is dedicated to the software of microcontroller. There are stated block diagrams of created program and description of wireless communication and UART interface.
Wireless transfert of image between the PCs
Mišík, Štefan ; Kváš, Marek (referee) ; Červinka, Luděk (advisor)
The thesis discusses the possible solution to the problem of wireless video transmission between computers and its implementation as an application for Microsoft Windows.
Extension Module with Bluetooth Communication Interface
Králíček, Jan ; Fučík, Otto (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
FITkit is used by students wishing to obtain a deeper knowledge of hardware and programming embedded systems. However, there are still many ways to improve properties of FITkit, such as wireless communication. One of the most common ways to implement wireless communication is via Bluetooth. Thanks to module, that was designed, students can gain new experience, which later will be able to apply.
Design and implementation of a wireless transmission system using USRP
Vaclík, Michal ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and possibilities of implementation of modular wireless communications system based on software defined radio. This system uses USRP1 kits from Ettus Research and is controlled by GNU Radio Companion software. Final Python script is used to controll and modify parameters of modulation schemes, encoder properties and used bitrate. Thesis also describes possibilities and challenges of using radio HW for transmitting and receiving. Final chapter summerizes and analyzes achieved transmission qualities.
Communication System of Small Mobile Robot
Petrov, David ; Burian, František (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis addresses the problem of wireless transmission between the operator station and the robot. There is a solution presented by way of testing the parameters of wireless modules, compare them in the environment and the draft protocol.
